R.A. Smith National’s Heather Patti, PWS, ecologist, will present the results of a two-year field study of the effects of two different herbicides on the invasive Glyceria maxima (reed manna grass) at the Wisconsin Wetlands Association conference in Sheboygan, Wis., February 12-14, 2013. The study was completed along the Pike River in Racine, Wisconsin, by Heather Patti and colleague Alice Thompson of Thompson & Associates Wetland Services.

Smith National — civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, geographic information systems (GIS), visualization and 3D laser scanning consultants — Tarentum (Pittsburgh), Pa.,  has added Derek Bartholic, survey technician and Kyle Svitek, survey technician to the Pittsburgh survey division.
