R.A. Smith National Promotes Karen Wiesneski to Marketing Manager

R.A. Smith National — civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, geographic information systems (GIS), visualization and 3D laser scanning consultants — Brookfield, Wis., has promoted Karen Wiesneski to marketing manager. 

In her new position Wiesneski is responsible for assisting in marketing programs and strategy development, operations and budgeting of the marketing department and managing the marketing communications program. Her experience includes print and digital marketing communications, public relations, social media, website development, event coordination and proposal writing/coordination. Wiesneski also has a specialty in grants research and writing for local government. She maintains an online grants directory and is the administrator of Wisconsin Grant Seekers – a LinkedIn group with a current membership of 450 which encourages collaboration on funding resources.

Wiesneski joined R.A. Smith National in 1989. She is a resident of the village of Richfield. 

Mazanec Presenting Lessons Learned from 30,000 Inspections at FWWA Conference

Jeff Mazanec, of R.A. Smith National, has been an active member of the FWWA Watershed Conference planning committee since 2000 and will participate in the 2014 event as a presenter, moderator and exhibitor. His presentation will focus on erosion control information gained from use of PermiTrackESC. The presentation will include how inspections are conducted and used to administer an effective program, and how data generated through the inspections can be used to evaluate BMP effectiveness and the effectiveness of public versus private inspections. 

The FWWA is an independent, non-profit organization that identifies issues and advocates effective policies and actions to protect, restore and sustain the water resources of Wisconsin's Fox-Wolf River Basin.
