R.A. Smith National — civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, geographic information systems (GIS), visualization and 3D laser scanning consultants — has hired Christopher White to be part of the company’s rotational training program. His first rotation will be in the field working with the construction services and survey divisions.

White recently earned his bachelor of science degree in civil engineering from Marquette University. He has held positions as an engineering co-op and a chemistry teaching assistant. White currently resides in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The rotational training program was implemented to educate and train young professionals in various practice groups throughout the company. The program consists of five, two-month cycles that include rotations in the municipal, construction services, survey, land development and transportation divisions. After working in each division, individuals have a well-rounded understanding of the services provided and how they interrelate. At the end of the rotational training program, individuals move into a permanent position in one of these practice groups.
