R.A. Smith National’s Steve Miazga is Elected as Vice President of Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce

Steve Miazga, business development manager, of R.A. Smith National – civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, geographic information systems (GIS), visualization and 3D laser scanning consultants – was elected Vice President on the Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce 2013 board of directors. The Greater Brookfield Chamber of Commerce works to improve the community through retention, expansion, recruitment and support of businesses.

As business development manager at R.A. Smith National, Miazga’s responsibilities include corporate business development planning and implementation, strategic alliances and new markets development in the public and private sectors. Miazga’s expertise includes pre-development planning for major land development projects across the country, infrastructure design and assisting clients with land development issues.

Miazga has a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering with an emphasis on transportation and land development planning from University of Wisconsin-Madison. He is a registered professional engineer (P.E.) in the state of Wisconsin and is a Certified Development, Design and Construction Professional (CDP). Miazga is currently serving as the chair for the ICSC 2013 CenterBuild conference. He lives in Pewaukee, Wis.

Jeff Mazanec, R.A. Smith National, will present “There’s an App for That!” at this year’s APWA Construction Inspection Conference in Colorado. The presentation will discuss mobile applications for the collection, maintenance and sharing of field data.
