Project surveyor and civil engineer join firm’s eastern regional office
Project surveyor John Woodworth has joined the survey division of R.A. Smith National’s Oakmont office. Additionally, Jason Boley has joined the firm as a civil engineer in the land development services division.
John Woodworth has more than 15 years of surveying experience, serving as crew chief on a wide range of surveying projects for the oil and gas industries, public lands systems and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He also has a heavy focus on metes and bounds (or boundary) surveys, topographic surveys and construction staking.
Woodworth holds his Professional Land Surveyors (PLS) license in the state of Pennsylvania. In addition, Woodworth holds dual associate degrees in surveying technologies and civil engineering from Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Jason Boley has more than four years of civil engineering experience. Most recently, his project engineer experience included all aspects of land development, such as site reconnaissance, site layout, grading design, stormwater management, permitting and more.
Boley holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering technology from Bluefield State College. He also holds an associate’s degree in drafting and design from Southwest Virginia Community College.

Jeff Perrin has joined the Madison office of R.A. Smith National as a structural engineer. Perrin has more than two years of structural design experience as well as prior experience as a construction foreman. His project management skills can be attributed to his experience as a construction foreman on several projects, including tilt-up projects in the Madison area as well as in Texas and Ohio. His skill set further includes Autocad and Revit which will be advantageous in his role at R.A. Smith National. With the addition of Perrin, R.A. Smith National has grown its structures practice to 16, including 13 structural engineers and 3 structural CAD technicians at the firm’s Brookfield and Madison locations.
Perrin holds two bachelor’s degrees – one in civil engineering and the other in building construction management, both from the University of Wisconsin Platteville.
Perrin resides in Dodgeville, Wis.
