Project surveyor and civil engineer join firm’s eastern regional office
Project surveyor John Woodworth has joined the survey division of R.A. Smith National’s Oakmont office. Additionally, Jason Boley has joined the firm as a civil engineer in the land development services division.
John Woodworth has more than 15 years of surveying experience, serving as crew chief on a wide range of surveying projects for the oil and gas industries, public lands systems and Pennsylvania Department of Transportation. He also has a heavy focus on metes and bounds (or boundary) surveys, topographic surveys and construction staking.
Woodworth holds his Professional Land Surveyors (PLS) license in the state of Pennsylvania. In addition, Woodworth holds dual associate degrees in surveying technologies and civil engineering from Pennsylvania College of Technology.
Jason Boley has more than four years of civil engineering experience. Most recently, his project engineer experience included all aspects of land development, such as site reconnaissance, site layout, grading design, stormwater management, permitting and more.
Boley holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering technology from Bluefield State College. He also holds an associate’s degree in drafting and design from Southwest Virginia Community College.

Civil engineer shows dedication to industry by obtaining licensure in Pennsylvania
Anthony Simelis attained his professional engineer license in the state of Pennsylvania, specializing in water resources and environmental engineering. Simelis is a civil engineer in the land development services division at R.A. Smith National.
Simelis has five years of experience. His recent experience includes civil engineering land development services for commercial projects. Simelis also has experience with hydrology/hydrologic analysis and design, storm network designs, stormwater detention/retention design, NPDES permitting and implementing erosion and sedimentation controls. A couple of his recent projects include environmental permitting for the west side development of McCandless Crossing in McCandless, Pa., and the ongoing environmental permitting and engineering for the Harrison Point development in Harrison Township, Pa.
Simelis has a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering technology from Point Park University, as well as an associate degree in specialized chemical laboratory technology from Bidwell Training Center.
