The 9th annual Clean Rivers, Clean Lake Conference, hosted by Sweet Water - Southeastern Wisconsin Watersheds Trust will be held at the Harley Davidson Museum this April. Cindi DeBruine, senior water resources engineer, is attending this conference that will include 11 speakers and 14 workshop presentations. Each year engineering professionals, elected officials, residents and businesses, representatives of local government and nonprofit organizations come together at this event to discuss stormwater and water quality issues and innovations.

The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) will provide 50% cost reimbursement for green infrastructure projects within its service area that help store, convey and use rainwater in more natural ways (porous pavement, bioswales, cisterns and more). Applications will be accepted from building owners, municipalities and developers. Up to $700,000 will be awarded annually. Eligible expenses include materials, construction costs and education/outreach materials. Applications are due March 15. Please contact Jeff Mazanec for more information.
