Tom Mortensen will speak to the UWM School of Architecture and Urban Planning (SARUP) chapter as part of the Emerging Green Builders program by the USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council). His presentation will discuss various design techniques, approaches, principles, successes, pitfalls and roadblocks to designing, getting approvals for and establishing a native landscape in anything but a natural environment – the stormwater facility. Design techniques and real world projects will be shared in relation to using native landscape in site-specific ways.
