R.A. Smith National – a multi-disciplined civil engineering and surveying firm – Brookfield, Wis., has added Howard Stevenson as a project manager in the construction services division. Stevenson has more than 20 years of experience in the highway construction industry. He has held the position of construction leader or assistant construction leader on Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) highway projects for the past 12 years.
As a project manager at R.A. Smith National, Stevenson’s responsibilities include project management; safety; quality control; supervising team members; review of project plans, reports and documentation; scheduling; and controlling expenses.
Stevenson’s previous experience includes working for a local consulting firm as a project manager. Stevenson resides in Elkhorn, Wis.

Steve Miazga, business development manager, of R.A. Smith National – a multi-disciplined civil engineering and surveying firm – Brookfield, Wis., will serve as co-chair for the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) 2012 CenterBuild Conference. The 2012 conference will be held November 28-30 in Phoenix. Miazga has served on the CenterBuild Program Planning Committee since 2003 and has previously served in leadership roles at the sub-committee level for the conference.
As business development manager at R.A. Smith National, Miazga’s responsibilities include corporate business development planning and implementation, strategic alliances and new markets development in the public and private sectors. Miazga’s expertise includes pre-development planning for major land development projects across the country, infrastructure design and assisting clients with land development issues.
Miazga has a bachelor’s degree in civil and environmental engineering with an emphasis on transportation and land development planning from University of Wisconsin-Madison. He lives in Pewaukee, Wis.
