A feasibility study was conducted to evaluate the development potential and possible public use of lands associated with an 85-acre abandoned quarry. Several development options for the property were analyzed including residential, commercial and public use. R.A. Smith National worked with Siepmann Realty Corporation to create various development scenarios. The study results verified that the best return on investment was the development of some type of multi-family housing on the eight-acre parcel, with the balance of the quarry property being developed as a natural park with passive recreational uses.
