April 16, 2013

Jon Chapman, survey project manager, and Pat Hawley, P.E., PTOE, traffic project manager, are presenting at the ITE 2013 Traffic Engineering Workshop and Transportation Planning Forum. Jon will present the benefits of using static LiDAR for creating detailed as-built models to aid in design modification for accommodating over-sized, over-weight (OSOW) vehicles at roundabouts. He has been involved in the process of laser scanning multiple roundabouts throughout the state of Wisconsin. Pat is presenting on Reasonable Access Studies.  He has been retained by private developers, the Department of Transportation and the Department of Justice on dozens of projects to evaluate the impact of a transportation project on the resulting access to a site.

Pat Hawley and Laura Schroeder are on the conference planning committee.  Pat, Laura, and Jon, along with several others from RA Smith National, will be attending this event that is designed to solicit discussions to develop ideas and solutions for current transportation problems.  The conference will include case studies, presentations and peer discussions.
